These updates are rather scarce, aren't they? I have been focusing more on my geeky food blog, snackordie.com. In April I was featured in the prestigious Official Playstation Magazine UK for my site. I'm in the month with the with the GTA cover. Pretty spiffy!
Fireball did end up having one of his bottom teeth removed. The dentist was the same guy that operates on the Detroit Zoo Animals. When it comes to peegy, nothing but the best!
Back on July 4th, I ran the Tortoise and Hare (a great running store) 5K for the second year in a row. I was a little nervous about running as my right knee had been giving me problems. If I landed on the knee wrong, for the rest of the run my knee would give me sharp pains, forcing me to stop. I'm glad I went for the run, it was as fun as last year!
The sponsors mentioned that they were expecting a thousand people running through the streets of Ann Arbor. Even though I took it a little easy with my knee during the race, I ended up with the same time as last year: 22:58. Last year I was really out of it after I had finished, but this time I had a better grasp of my surroundings and discovered the snack table where I picked up a banana, a Snickers energy bar, and a bit of an oatmeal cookie. I don't know what I did with the energy bar, but the banana and oatmeal cookie was pretty tasty.
Timing for the race was done with chips tied to the shoelaces. The timer started when you crossed the start line, so if you were in the back of the pack when the race started, you weren't penalized. Here I'm tying the chip onto my shoe:
Just before crossing the finish line. I heard the guy in the orange shirt right on my heels after I had passed him for the last .1 mile.

Finished! Hooray!
